I just put my big gun on the DF team

I just joined the DF team this morning, I should be able to get some pretty good output from my rig.

P4 (Northwood) 2.26Ghz @2.55Ghz (600Mhz FSB)
Giga_Byte GA-8IHXP (Intel 850E)
256MB PC-1066 RAMBUS @ PC-1200 (600Mhz FSB)
Radeon 8500 128MB
Sound Blaster Audigy
Samsung 900NF
Logitech Z560's
16X Pioneer DVD-ROM
48X12X48 Lite-On CD-RW
120GB WD1200JB (8MB cache)

BTW my Seti average is 2 hours and 16 minutes.

Sweet machine!

Make sure to use the extra-ram option (for 2x the speed).

If you installed it as a service add in the line useram=1
and if you're running it under the console add in to foldit.bat / foldit.sh to the line with all the options (has a lot of "-<letters>" on it) -rt.

I'm going to use the extra RAM option as soon as I can get some more RDRAM, I only have 256MB now(true PC-1066 is $$$$),
I do have it installed as a service but I have noe service config file to edit?

Thats nothing, any WU over 1.0 I will do in 2:02, I never broke the 2 hour mark though, even with a 18AR WU

Welcome aboard sean2002!

The extra RAM option will work fine with 256MB of RAM. Right now DF is only using 95MB of RAM on my laptop which has 256MB total.

Look for a service.cfg file in the directory where you've got distributed folding.

If it doesn't exist, you can create one and write the following lines into it:

service=1
useram=1
