i just put a heatsink on my sblive

Ya know, i was planning to do the same thing, but i dont have anything to attach it with... i need to get some frag tape or AS adhesive... That SBlive value chip makes my cpu look freezing! Yes thats right, i measured it at over 120 degrees, holding a thermister on by hand. That cant be too accurate... Creative should ship them with a heatsink...

damn right they should
I burned myself on my first SB Live! So I put a 486 HSF on it. But I sold that one to a friend and got one with digital out. I took the HSF off the first but I never got around to putting in on the second one.

PLEASE, make sure you put the proper thermal adhesive between the heatsink and chip!!! Without this contact, you may end up with better sound then you had with the heatsink.
