I paid $43,326 after TTL

Great car. Comes with everything you'd want:
XM radio, On Star, Rear camera, navigation, etc...

Not a chick magnet but you get a lot for that price.
Which begs the question, how is it that Honda can have virtually everything come standard and still give you a great price but other car manufacturers nickel-and-dime you to death (i.e. Toyota)?

That's the Acura Philosophy - don't sell cars where you have to add the features, sell cars that come with everything standard (for every model - the onyl real options are cosmetic, the RL even comes standard with navigation) :)

Woot!

Welcome to the club!

Mine.

If you don't already know, there's a good website for us MDX owners.

You can find good deals on MDX (or Acura and Honda) accessories there too.

There is no way an X5 can sub for an MDX. Have you seen how much room an X5 has? Essentially none. Plus, the MDX performs better in general than the X5 3.0 including 0-60.

It wouldn't do you any good... I have yet to see an Acura nav system that can read a burned DVD.

I've been reading some forums, and they said if you set the book type to DVD-ROM, it would work just fine.

I dunno tho. Worth a shot :). I'll probably cave here in the next month or two and get it.

Not a chick magnet? I can't see why...just put some spinners on that and make it a super magnet ;)

Nope, 2002 TL Type-S, and that's the other problem. There are different software versions as well, not just disc updates.

Nothing in life is free. Honda can make everything standard because they cut corners, ie fake wood, thinner leather, Bose stereo, etc. MDX is definitely a good car (amazing amount of interior space, folding down rear seats, etc), but you do make sacrifices for buying a car 'with everything standard' Toyota's model is different in pricing model because their approach to luxury cars is very different.
