I originally wanted an Asus z70va -- a 17" is overkill for me -- but that would be ~$600 more expensive for me (I'm Canadian). So a bigger screen, faster laptop, for less price, I had to jump on it!

Me personally, I would have skimped on the RAM, upgraded from ZZF, and gotten the 9 cell battery...but thats me.

Otherwise nice deal. I ordered a 6000 last week, was torn between the 9300 and the 6000, but I dont do any gaming on my laptop, so I figured the 6000 was fine.

I am also disappointed in Dell for not putting a number pad on the 9300, that is one of the only reasons I will buy a 17" notebook.

i looked at the 6000 as well...but if i was going to go to a lower end lappy it wouldnt be ugly like the 6000/9300! lol

i would have upgraded; but i actually purchased thru ebay. dell canada = fvcking expensive. an identical laptop is about $2100 CDN + shipping + tax...after coupons

so the only way to get reasonable american prices is ebay. stupid dell.

No point of the extended battery. This thing is a beast and most likely a desktop replacement.
OP should've opted for the faster HD

6800 go is the only one atm for the 9300

IIRC there is going to be an ultra or GTX in the next 9300 revision, in january

Just over 2.5 hours on battery while surfing wireless internet.

With wireless off, dimmed screen, probably can push 3 hours! Wow, I just looked this up now (I don't care about battery life) and that is really damn good!

Weight: 8lb

Wow thats friggin cheap. Jesus. Still you should've gotten an XPS with 7800GTX. I'm traing my XPS 6800U for that begginning next year.

Also the you can upgrade the vid card on the 9300 if you force the heatsink on there also.
