It kinda sucked because all you could play was either COD2 or King Kong both of which arent the most graphicaly amazing games compaired to what the 360 is capable of playing. Believe it or not, I felt some choppyness in the beginning scene on the truck every time I would turn around and face the guy standing up behind me(COD2). If was funny listing to the people behind me sayin "dude the graphics are sick" "or those graphics are fvking amazing" Just dont know you can get excatly the same graphics on the PC for this game and it was out on the PC first...and they must have not seen PDZ or GOW yet. The controller is basically the same I think...which is a good thing imo. There are two extra buttons on the top. Anyway just my little mini review of the 360. You can expand if you want.

Choppyness? Makes me glad I'm building a new PC now and waiting a few months to get the 360. I wasn't interested in playing the FPS games on the 360... just want it for DOA4 and Ridge Racer right now.

I would ask you to not pass judgement on an unfinished product, but it is what most people do anyways...

You might want to give Kameo a try as it is fully playable as well.

It was HDTV. Widescreen too. I wish it was SDTV so that I could see how it would look on my TV.

I had a similar experience. It was most likely the early demo of COD2, so try not to be too judgemental. :)

I played at the Montreal's Arcadia event (it was the first year for it).

I saw someone playing King Kong, and I myself played Call Of Duty II.

Bottom line ?

I personally do not like the Controller. I miss the original bulky XBOX one to be honest. Probably because my hands aren't small.

I asked a few people there if they liked it. They all said "yeah it's ok". But I didn't. It's just me.

I'll probably buy one (XBOX 360), but not this year.

The "wow" effect of a Console Launch isn't, anymore. Such days are over. For me at least.

The last Console Launch I was really awaiting was the Sega Dreamcast. On September 9th, 1999, right after school. I still remember that day. I got it on day one.

After that ... bah.

PlayStation 2 Launch was alright ... but the shortage burnt. And the Launch titles were horrible (in my opinion).

I would think the games should be finished, but then again that WAS only a demo not the full version. But still if Microsoft expects to sell this thing they best make sure there playable displays are 100%.

I think they were referring to the games being unfinished (ie beta versions), not the system itself.

Where was it?

It is funny to hear comments of computer illiterate people. Lol one guy was looking at a radeon 9250 while I was at CC, and he saw the Ruby cover and he was telling his friend

OMG Dude look the graphics are fvcking awesome!!!!!

Yeah, I saw one of these on Friday at Compusa. CoD2 looked pretty nice for a console, but the textures were pretty low res there was a lot of aliasing. I certainly won't be trading in my PC for one of these any time soon.

I thought the X360 was supposed to use 4xAA . . .

I may pop by Fry's or some other places tomorrow to check it out but if all they have is something like COD2 probably not worth it since it would look better outputed to my 32" Aquos at home anyway . . . (from my comp of course)

Those demos are not "done". Those consoles were boxed and built several months ago with early version of the software and don't represent what the final polished product will be.
