I swapped jobs last June and have been struggling because there aren't any good coffee shops around work. Everyone in the office either has a Keurig or they bring in McDonald's coffee from their commute. I used to work a block from a mom & pop coffee roasting company... :(

Anyhow, I found a Keurig B30 at Target for $45 marked down tonight and decided to bite the bullet. A little sweet talking got the price down to $25 because that's the sleezy type of guy I am.

I prefer Dunkin Donuts and medium body blends....REAL Kona coffee if I happen to be in Hawaii...but I'm not a fan of the 10% Kona stuff. I don't like really strong bitter coffee, in general. What K cups should I look at? I ordered a few boxes to try out from Carabou (been to a few of those in Atlanta) & Green Mtn to start off with. Should I order any other types? Where's the best place to buy from? Thanks,

-Scar

Get a variety pack and see what you like. Serious. You may find something you would not have otherwise considered.

I buy straight from Green Mountain with their coffee club. They are the owners of the Keurig brand, and their K cups are not bad for regular coffee. I only use K cups at work, though, as I prefer freshly ground coffee. Mmm, Jamaican Blue Mountain...

I work near a Caribou and happen to love their dark roasts. I'd try those out and see if you like them.

So everybody in your office has their own coffee maker? Wtf. You should get two and throw them in the kitchen for everyone to share.

I asked to talk to a person in the coffee maker section. A girl in her early 20s showed up...I asked her if she could drop the price any lower...and said, $20 sounded good. She went and got a price gun and kept typing in prices until the system accepted $25. She was really nice and not bad lookin' either. I probably wouldn't have been successful haggling had my wife been there....

I agree Leros....it would be nice to share. The only problem is my office is on the other side of the building from the breakroom. The CIO has a Keurig in his office and a programmer that just started work a few months ago has one. Both are way down the hall and due to meetings aren't a reliable source for equipment... I'll definitely have an open-brewing policy with my friends and closeby office-neighbors.
Edit: To clarify...we all have offices with doors with locks. We're not in a cube farm...

(1) Get the My K-Cup .. if there's a favorite ground coffee you like, you can use it with your k-cup maker.

(2) Dunkin' Donuts doesn't make K-Cups, but Donut Shop coffee is as close as you can get..

(3) I'm addicted to French Vanilla by Van Houtte...
