A dot com bellyup auction with the usual servers, cisco stuff, lucent phone stuff, laptops/monitors/computers etc.
But this time I did the whole auction from my office.
You register first. (e-mail)
Download their software.(Only needed if Auction isnt "on" when you call)
They email back PH# and bidder # and password for auction
Dial up their 1-800 phone number, answer a few questions, youre in.
Tap "1" on phone to bid. Tap "#" to "lower paddle"
When price gets close to end auctioneer opens phone lines to "web bidders" to talk to auctioneer directly.
There are people live at the auction site also bidding.
They offer third party packagers and shippers.
People from Finland were bidding (tho I wouldnt want to pay freight on 5 servers to there)
I listened to whole auction on speakerphone, while flipping auction assets picture pages on the web.
Man, this is so cool I cant stand it.
