Yep, those Israelis are tough!! It always amazes me that anybody would want to mess with those guys. They have mandatory miltary service for everyone. If the middle east really exploded, I am pretty sure they could conquer the entire region......

Yep, it's fun. So far we have learned what to do when someone attacks with a knife or a baseball-bat. We have learned how to get away from headlock and if someone strangles you. Other things we learned is basic attack and counterattack. Now that I have passed the basic course, the real fun begins :D

Don't get too cocky though. Krav Maga is so straightforward and relatively easy to pick up, that I have seen a lot of wayyyyy to cocky people leave an intro course.

Nah, I don't get cocky. the instructors are constantly warning us about that. But I have seen the more advanced students practise and it seems just my kind of thing. The basic-training covered just the basics (well duh!). The advanced techniques are more interesting. But I will definitely not get cocky.

Check out the American Krav Maga federation web site (google is your friend). Once you find a nearby school ask around for other students and see what they say. Most affiliated instructors and programs are pretty good.

I can't really comment on american schools, since I'm in Finland. FWIW, here's the place I go to. I chose that school by asking other people who have been doing KM (and other martial arts), and they recommended Combat Academy.
