...Plus shipping! I guess it's "connectivity technology" will make it worth it!! Enjoy - Keytronic is always quality stuff!

I think I've used one of those before. Make sure that it stays in a clean area. The keys get sticky after a while. Enjoy!

Buy.com ships quite quickly! I am typing with it right now... I like it... As for its connectivity technology, yeah, it's just a cable, but hey. I like how the keys have different force requirements to actuate them. Keys that are normally actuated with the pinky fingers require less force to push down. The enter key has its own force rating also.

check it out:
LT Designer key force layout

I know it was rather expensive, but for someone that does a lot of command line administration, it's nice to have a good set of keys.

Keytronics might make nice keyboards but they have bad business practices. They owe my company over $300,000 for products that we shipped them. It's been over 3 months now. I work for a small company and this is killing us. Just before Christmas they had to lay off 20 people (out of about 50) because they don't have enough money. The owner of the company has lawyers on it now, but that doesn't help all the poor souls that got laid off during the holidays.

What's so special about that keyboard? For almost that much money, you could have bought the MS natural keyboard with the ergonomic shape, and also a long (3 years, or lifetime) warranty...

I just wore out my previous keyboard which was a Logitech Deluxe104(about $12US), lasted around 2.5 years, then keys started sticking and not working... I don't really care for natural keyboards. I tell people that and they say: "You have to give it some time and get used to them and then you will never go back!" Well I use one everyday at the office and I can't take it! I get home to my normal layout and I feel more comfortable right away! Oh well......

For my situation I don't find a need for a wireless keyboard, but I love my wireless Logitech Mouseman! I can't stand corded mice anymore!

I'm curious as to how this keyboard feels when typing. Is it a "mushy" feel like on laptops (membrane keyboards) or is it like a regular "quiet" keyboard that makes small amounts of clicks? I'm looking for a nice, full-sized black keyboard that has the feel of a laptop (kinda "mushy" and ultra quiet). Is the Keytronic LT Designer like that? Any type of description would be great, thanks! :)

I'd love a keyboard that's like a laptop keyboard! Maybe regular keyboard sized, but with the feel and look of a laptop keyboard.

I'll start a new thread on this.

junthin,

It feels nothing like a laptop in my opinion. Yes it does make a small amount of click noise and it is the best keyboard(Keytronic LT Designer) that I have used! It has full sized keys and key travel is normal, not like a laptop which is usually half the normal vertical travel.

I highly reccommend it.

Thanks Bulldog7000 for responding! :) I might just check out the keyboard, but I'll look for other options. However, this looks to be the best option if I was building a system with a black theme. ;) Thanks! :)

Bulldog7000: One more quick question...

How sensitive is the Keytronic LT Designer since you mentioned that it has "key force" would that mean a user can practically "touch-type" on it? Thanks in advance! :)
