I just ordered the Dell U2412M
Looking for 2nd LCD to pair with it. My budget is $175 - $200

Would the ViewSonic VA2431WM be my best option? I kinda want something skinny to go with the Dell.

Thanks for all of your help!

Save your money and hold out for a second eIPS display.

Or browse Craigslist and see if you can hunt down something better, like an sIPS U2410.

Looking at a cheap TN display next to an eIPS display will be disappointing. And multi-monitor setups require good viewing angles, something that TN panels don't excel at.

I was looking for a more gaming oriented monitor. I'll probably get another dell ips

I should say that I don't need a gaming screen.

You could always go for one of the other Dell eIPS screens like the U2211h or U2311 (or whatever the newer versions of these are). They often drop to the $200 or below range and would have just as nice of colors as your U2412m while providing a cheaper alternative. They also don't have viewing angle issues like TN panels so putting them off to the side at an angle works great.

I'm thinking about ordering another U2412m myself. The 2 I already have go decently with my older gateway 24" but having a matching set would look really nice...
