I just noticed ...

Sorry if it isn't "new" for most of you perhaps, but it is for me, so, for those of you in the same wagon, here's what I noticed ...

On that page: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Tec...lResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html

The AMD Athlon? 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version is now version 1.3.1, and has been updated, as it seems. Titled "May 2006".

I myself have been using version 1.2.2.0 of those drivers since a few months already. Is there any changelog I am missing ? Because I'd like to know what's different in that new version compared to the one I use. If it's worth updating, or not. I usually go by the sentence that dictates me not to fix it, if it ain't broken, ya know.

Anyone can enlighten me/us please ?

Thanks for your time.

No, those were just to improve the CnQ capabilities. AMD already said that if we didn't have problems with CnQ, we shouldn't bother with it (since it gives no performance increase).

I just bought an AMD X2 4200+. This is my first X2. Do I need this driver? When I tried to install it, I received a message that the current driver needed to be uninstaleld. I never installed a previous driver. Did this get installed by my motherboard drivers? I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium. I instaleld a Probe application that let's me examine the CPU temps.

TIA
