I just noticed something weird about car commericals...

Most car commericals have a shot of the dash when they rev the engine... however when they rev it, not only does the rpm gauge moves up, the speedo does too... How do they do that?

I caught this in the new Subaru commerical...
 
The new Legacy has a "gauge sweep" feature when you first turn it on. I believe that's what they're showing there.
 
What is the gauge sweep feature? u mean when u start the car the gauges go up by themselves for no reason?
 
Yeah, the gauges smoothly sweep up to max and then fall back. It's a novelty I guess.
