Yikes. I was unhappy to see I have put on 5kg since I got an office job. This thread makes me feel slightly better (no offense). Make this your wakeup call, head on over to the Health & Fitness subforum and make yourself a better person.

At 6' 2" and 215lbs. I'm the heaviest I've ever been.

Now I don't feel so bad. Thanks, OP! :p

At that weight, you're much more likely to die sooner than later from some health complication. Don't give up the foods you love, just quit eating 15000+ calories of them per day.

I'm sorry to be insensitive, but how in the hell does someone get to be that fucking huge? It is not like it just sneaks up on you and you wake up one morning realizing you have put on a few pounds.

ultimately, you will have to. you need to correct your diet, stop consuming more calories than you burn, and incorporate regular exercise in order to drop weight.

you can't fight the laws of thermodynamics. if your intake > expenditure, you will gain weight. if expenditure > intake, you will lose weight.

I'd comment on this, but I don't think I can do it sensitively. HAL9000 Powering down.

If you don't want to give up the foods you like you're definitely going to need to start eating less of them. I knew one guy in the same sort of situation. He was sad that he couldn't eat what he loved, but then he realized that he didn't need to. Instead of eating a whole pizza by himself he just had a piece or two. Just by cutting back and walking every day the pounds started to come off very quickly.

It's not impossible, but I would recommend talking with a doctor. They'll give you some guidance for your personal health and how to start dropping weight. Depending on your health as a whole they may give some recommendations on how to start losing weight the most effectively and safely for you.

You can do it man. I still eat mostly bad shit for dinner, but I have a bowl of Rice Krispies for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and do some form of cardio at least 4 days a week. The end result, while probably not healthy in the long-run, does net me lost pounds over time.

I'm 5'10" and went from 240 lbs to 170 lbs in a year.

The easiest thing to cut is sugary drinks. They add tons of calories without making you feel full. Otherwise, it's all portion control, and moving your ass.

I would imagine that the foods you love are very fattening, i.e. high in sugar, deep fried, greasy stuff. I enjoy those things as well but I have to eat them in moderation to avoid putting on the pounds. I also try to maintain an exercise program of sorts.

Dude you're killing yourself eating like that. :(
