suffering from shoppers remorse are we?

Well, I was. But then I realized that I can pay something like $50 per paycheck and pay it off before the 6 months is up. :) I also realized that there's no point taking them back. I needed this, a new HDD, and a new monitor to complete my dream system. And I have the HDD.

Now the only thing I have to change is the 17" (16" viewable) Sony Trinitron flatscreen to something around 23" viewable.

nik

23" viewable? Such as?

IIRC, I was looking at monitors with you that were 22" and some that were 22.8" or something like that. I dunno, it's been a while. But still... if I have to settle for 22" I guess that's okay too ;)

I'm moving in less than a month :(

Apartment? If you get the bottom floor, they probably won't be able to hear you as well. However you'll be able to hear them more. I'm thinking about lending my stuff to a buddy until I get a house. I bet UT2K3 is amazing with those, though.

All of the 21/22" monitors out there have 20" viewable image sizes.

If you want larger you need something like this, at 3x the cost.

I got you beat. I walked into Fry's three weeks ago for a vacuum cleaner and walked out with a 65" HDTV.

I'm really bad about impulse buys.

Nice speakers, Nik! [Vader]Welcome, to the Klipsch Side![/Vader] I have the 4.1s. I have heard all the brands out there and I like the Klipsch PMs' the best, by far. You've also got a handy line in for plugging in a portable MP3 player and a handy headphone jack for those 2:00AM gaming sessions after the GF has fallen asleep. :)

I think the PMs are the best PC speakers out there. You can get really nice sound out of them, as you've already found out w/your Techno tunes! :) Congrats and have fun seeing "just how loud these damn things go!" Your ears will give out before the speakers do. :D

Yeah, I know. I had to clean up a full glass of milk earlier. Of course, it was sitting on the desk right above the sub and the sub volume was only 10 (out of 15) and the system volume was only 46 (out of 80)

:D

those are some nice speakers!

I just made an impulse buy as well, though not quite as big.

I bought an 80 GB hard drive for $110.

I was pissed off b/c I keep getting the low hard disk space warning with my 40gb, so I decided to add a 2nd drive to address the issue

you think thats a bad impulse buy...last night I ordered $700 worth of PC Hardware! A new black aluminum case, new p4 2.53ghz cpu, 512MB DDR400 memory, and a new Gigabyte motherboard. But its okay I've wanted to order new stuff for the past year since my system is getting dated.

I did that exact impulse buy two weeks ago. I still haven't installed it :D

Oh... btw... I just turned them way up and went into the house (I live in the garage - long story) and removed an airconditioner from my mom's room window... listening to music at the same volume as I would have been with my old system if I were standing right next to them :Q And at better quality, too.

it boggles my mind.... :confuse;
