I just made my biggest impulse purchase...

I went out to get a couple of blank MiniDiscs and came home with a new PlayStation 2. :Q

Man, I gotta stay away from shopping malls while I'm feeling down in the dumps. I've made a lot of crazy impulse buys when I wasn't feeling good, but this PS2 is the most expensive. Hope I won't regret it later.

Anyway, since I'm talking about the PS2, what are some good games to get into? I've also bought the Guncon 2 along with the PS2 and Time Crisis 2 (yayy, my arcade fav) and Resident Evil Gun Survivor 2 (yukk!!!! !regret!), what other good gun games are there?

hehe...PS2 as an impulse buy I know the feeling, I just bought a night vision scope on an impulse...

My fav games are Grand Theft Auto 3 and Gran Turismo 3. I also have Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX 2, Grandia II, Final Fantasy X, and Onimusha. I think it's November that GTA: Vice City is coming out, so that'll be my next purchase.

On a side note, November will be an expensive month - GTA:VC, LOTR 5 disc DVD set, Star Wars Ep II dvd, Spiderman DVD....geeky goodness going on here

On 6/8 I went into a Honda dealership only to browse around, 2 hours later I drove home in a brand new 2002 Honda Accord SE. If I didn't get it for over $2,500 under dealer invoice then I wouldn't have bought it but damn!

Most likely due to geeks having more disposable income than most other groups.

But I do my best to avoid impulse buying. I dread going into places like CompUSA and Best Buy because I know I will buy more than I intended.

Dude!, I just did the SAME EXACT THING. I went to best buy to get some CD's and ended up bringing a PS2, GT3 and GTA3 home . A friend of mine has this game called NBA Street and it really kicks ass, I was going to pick it up as well but Best Buy didn't have it in stock. You can't use a gun on it but the game is insanely fun, it's one of those games you'll easily waste hours on .

well i got the lite on 48x burner last week, even though i had a 32x one...79 plus free shipping from new egg plus my brother was pushing me, he bought my 32x off me for 50, so i netted a increase of 16x for 29 bucks.
My wife failed to see the logic of the deal though. Strange

I know what you mean, I went to Conn's to check out a DVD player and ended up with a Mitsu 55" Widescreen HDTV! How the hell that happened, I'll never know. Maybe the 1 year no payments, no accrued interest had something to do with it.
