I just made a critical error in moving...

There's just something romantic about having all your stuff in the back of a 20ft UHaul, with little smatterings of your girlfriend's stuff in all the corners (it turns out that MY stuff ended up taking up the majority of truck-volume, her stuff is fairly compact, since her old bedroom was roughly the size of this truck)

The only thing left of mine in here are these two metal folding chairs that we're sitting on, and my laptop. I even took my god damned lightbulbs. But, uh, where in the hell are we going to sleep tonight? 😕 The mattresses are all the way at the front of the truck.

On the floor

My brother already moved into my room, which leaves the concrete floor of my (former) shop area. That's not exactly good sleeping space.

OH, CRAP, I ALMOST FORGOT MY NETWORK GEAR (rofl, my brother will be ever so slightly pissed when I leave and take the switches and access points with me tommorrow, he'll come down here trying to figure out what's going on, and find all the in-wall wiring dangling where the gear used to sit)

it's quite a common practice to sleep on the floor the night before moving day. just pick the most comfortable floor and sleep on it. it is either that or, sleep in the truck.

Well, uh, considering I live(d?) with my parents, and we have various parents/siblings/nieces/nephews jammed into every room and corner in the damned house (except this now barren concrete workroom) I think the best option at this point would be for us to just go sack out in the front seats of the FL70.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm retarded, we have a conversion van with a sleeper in the back. I completely forgot about that thing. Rox.

Don't sleep...make love all night!

That's reserved for tommorrow, after we get everything out of the truck.

Maybe you need some viagra? 😉

nah dude, everything is quite functional. But why waste energy that could be expended christening every surface in the apartment?

.... Ohcrap, I just realized I haven't made a cable installer appointment yet, and we aren't getting a landline. Hopefully the people downstairs will let me run a CAT5 cable to their router, or something.

Not in our major we can't - especially this close to finals.

So why are you undergoing a disruptive move just a few days from finals?

Because the place is cheap, available, and there's no way in Satan's Asshole that I can keep up this commute for an entire week to take final exams at 8AM, and not be able to go home until 8PM (I swear, if I find out who made the final exam schedule, I'll personally remove their face)

Motel 6 -- they'll leave the light on for ya.

(Good thing, too...since you took all the lightbulbs! :confused😉

who needs an SUV? My scion tc's front seats fold flat down and make a perfect sleeper. Legroom is every so slightly tight for a six footer but it's pretty comfy.

With the way gas prices are looking, I'll keep my small car, and stay in nice hotels instead😛
