I have the windows firewall on, and I can't figure out how to enable messenger send/recevie files.
Whenever I try to send/receive a file it says that the operation failed. I checked the firewall deff's (it's on advanced), but couldn't figure it out.... Obviously I can chat normaly on it. (note, I have windows messenger - the one that comes with windows, and not MS-messenger...)

This may have the info you need. It looks like you have to open ports 6891-6900 on the firewall. I've never used the Windows Firewall so I don't know the specifics of how you do that.
