I just installed my new Gigabyte gpu from Newegg. It is quiet, fast, and overclocks well. I have had it up to 750Mhz. I backed it down to 700Mhz as there was not much of a benefit. Please keep in mind much of my excitement comes from upgrading from a 7600GT. The 7600GT barely broke 4000 3DMarks.

So far I have played Crysis, Bioshock, and HL on high settings and have been amazed by the smooth gameplay. The graphics also look amazing. I guess having an e7200 running at 3.8Ghz also helps things a little.

My 3Dmark06 score!

I know the feeling! went from x800gto^2 to 9800gtx so thats like a ridiculous upgrade for me, so nice to be able to put the settings back up to full on most everything (1920x1200)

Hmm, I have the E7200 at 3,7 ghz and an overclocked 8800 GT and I only hit around 12000 marks. I wonder what am I doing wrong. 3dmark is set on default.

hahaha, this always happens when someone posts a good score: someone else thinks it means there's something wrong with their own system :brokenheart:

Probably you got background apps that is affecting your benchmark.

Congrats on the card :)

Thanks! It is a great feeling doing research and putting together a strong system like this one. I credit my Gigabyte board and the support Gigabyte offers. This is my second upgrade on the same board and each time has been as smooth as the last. I just hope they keep producing such great products. I can tell you when you buy your next board, buy the latest and greatest and it will last you through several upgrades.
