I just installed a router and now all domains on my WebServer are defaulting to my main domain. <<--FIXED-->>

I'm using Netgear's RT314

I've used SUA to punch ports 80, 21, 25, 110, 53.

I modified the filter on menu 21 to block port 10 instead of 80, since I wasn't sure how to make a clean edit.

Now my main domain name works fine, but all the other ones that I have assigned with the same IP are defaulting to the main domain.

Where did I screw up? What am I missing?

Do I have to change the IP address on IIS or on my DNS server to reflect the internal IP to the Router?

I think it's in the IIS settings, but it's been a few years since I had a fun job like that. (Looking for one, though. Anyone in Cleveland want to hire me?!) Have you adjusted the section of IIS where you assign a domain name to the different virtual sites on the server? (I'm probably talking out my a$$. Sorry. Three years is a long time.)

Sounds right Crimson.

WW, have you set the virtual directories in IIS? If you put it the address in your browser it will go to your default site, right? If you set up a VD as TEST (alias) then type in \\IP address\test you'll show the defalut page for that "site" which is just a virtual directory on the local or remote server.
Is this what you're intending to do?

I take it that you had to go ahead and just do the port forwarding and couldnt find a way to push your second IP through the router?

I've had all the domains working fine for two years before I brought in the router. But I haven't changed anything on the virtual domains after I installed the router.

Is there anything I have to change on them? Is there anything I have to change in the whole machine, besides the fixed IP address in the Network setting?

Spanker, yes I decided to go with that, but I found out last night that there is a French bios that allows multiple IPs thru. Go figure.

So I haven't tried it yet, but I'll, whenever I manage to get things working the normal way first.

Thanks guys,
WW

Just to let you guys know. Now some domains respond correctly when I place www in front of the domain name. Others respond right only if I don't put the www.

So I believe I'll figure out the problem pretty soon.

As I see it, I must have a pretty big mess with my settings and it's probably time to clean the house!!

Well it wasn't so messy. I had specified an IP address for the domains, instead of letting IIS pick the one from the machine. Besides I had some inconsistencies in the DNS server as well. But it's 100% fixed now. Thanks.
