**I Just Had The Worst Customer Service Ever!!!

I went in to a local computer store (MOTHER COMPUTERS) and was literally told off by a tech. Grrrrr.

Things he told me (in the order he told me, just imagine what I said inbetween; I was VERY nice):
1) AMD sucks, why would anyone use AMD.
2) Epox 8rda+ is the worst motherboard made.
3) I read all the reviews last night and Epox came last in every one.
4) Overclocking DDR3500 to 400 DDR is going beyond it's manufacturer rating.
5) Cpu's burn out quickly when overclocked.
6) He's as deaf as the boss (refering to another employee).
7) Everyone thinks they're a tech these days. (he says as he WALKS away from me)
8) Don't look at me like that!

This is when I lost it and told him "that's no way to treat a customer" and "there is no way I'd buy anything here".
Then I stormed out.

I feel like going to talk to the boss in the morning.

Thanks for reading my steam venting.🙂

Well in this day in age the average american worker is incompetent at their job anyways...the words customer service, whether it be the idiots at dishnetwork, the at&t wireless, about any store you buy anything from is absolutely a travesty...ppl don't speak the language or have a chip on their shoulder cause they hate their jobs!!!

He is no different...1 for 8 seems to be considered acceptable nowadays...wonder which one I think is right???

I can say 1-5 are total lies and just show that incompetence I was talking about...

1. Exactly 🙂 They want prime dollar per MHz. Intel costs much less.
2. I dont know. I never was an Epox fan after my first one bit the bullet.
3. From my previous experience if someone told me that. I would believe it. But I have no clue as to the newer stuff.
4.

. He needs a b*tch slap.
5. Difinately shortens their life span.
6. You lost me there.
7. I know. People generally think if they can install an OS, they are a tech. Or upgrade memory

8. Should have told him that he is a dolt.

You were right in telling him that. The guy was not too bright. I only argeed on the AMD/Epox part. But I would have never said that. Money to a company is money. If somebody want me to build them a AMD setup, I would. If they want an Intel setup. I'll build them a Intel setup. Customer service is first priority.

I agree he's an idiot. He just proved it with everything he said. Let it go, go back in next week, and he will probably be gone.

You sure you didnt bump into an Intel employee ?

1) Only Intel guys would say that.
2) Its an AMD based board, not Intel.
3) Epox are high overclockable and companies like Intel dont want you to overclock.
4) Intel's are officially supported upto PC2700, so he doesnt wants to go behind the specs of his company.
5) He wants you to pay extra for those higher speeds.
6) You sure the guy you were talking to wasnt deaf ?
7) If he is an Intel employee, then he thinks he is smarter than most of us
8) Thats the attitude of a .............................. (you know what i mean here 😉 )

>I went in to a local computer store

You made it obvious you were interested in what they don't have, so they were quite pleased to humiliate you. What you did was find out what they don't sell. Stores bad-mouth what they don't have. That's business.

I used to make the rounds of stores years ago looking for a particular item I had decided upon from reading up on it.. As soon as it became obvious I wanted a certain item, and not whatever they happened to have, they gave me a treatment like you received.

Yup, that's why I now just walk in and ask if they have what I want. If they don't, I turn around and walk out. I've learned not to discuss the merits of one product or another with techs because we all have differing opinions on what is worthy and what is not.

Idiots.......they get all the good job these days. :|
LOL! Good jobs? That goober probably makes like 7$-10$ an hour, is bitter 'cause he got fragged 50 to 1 in a deathmatch last night 'cause it's all he has to do since women ignore him or are repulsed by him, and has to try to lord his "High levels of techness" 😛 over other's to try and compensate for his low to non-existant self-esteem 😉 (sorry if I just describe a bunch of you cats 😛 J/K )

Perfect name for the store though "Mother Computers" seeing how most the employees probably live in their parents basement 😛

I had a feelin' that post would go over like a turd in the swimmin' pool around here 😛

ROFLMAO... that probably has more truth to it than you realize.

The thing is that besides being a computer enthusiast I was also scoping out local businesses to buy some laptops and portable printers for the two vans in my company (I'm part owner in a Lube and Oil business). Having an employee on staff like that just means they might have lost a very good sale. I guess that's their problem.😛
