it was fairly large (1cm), the doctor said it looked like a common 2-color mole and not to worry. so i'm not. aside from the gaping hole that it left in my back, is it supposed to be black in color? i'm assuming it's a combination of dead stuff and whatever they put on it to disinfect it...

anyone know?

I had a large mole removed from my thigh. Didn't feel a thing, but it left a decent-sized scar. I picked the scab off and it bled like a mofo. Mmmm, picking scabs...

Probably black from him carterizing it.

I've had 4 removed at the same time, and they were fairly large. It's going to leave a nice big scar, which will be raised above the rest of your skin.

I have a small mole right beneath my nose, so it will be hard to shave with it on. But if you're correct about the scar, would you recommend getting it removed?

What about moles on your neck? I have a big one on my neck that I'll probably also end up getting removed.

Actually, the amount of scarring depends on the location. The skin is thick on the back, so that's how it tends to grow back. Facial tissue will leave a minimal scar. It also depends on the reson for removing it. If it's for a purely cosmetic reason, tehn the dermitologist will only need to remove the colored part of the skin, which shouldn't leave much of a scar. If it's for medical reasons relating to possible cancerous tissue, the mole and all of the surrounding tissue needs to be removed to biopsy, resulting in a much larger scar.

I had a big mole removed from my chest. Pretty large scar there now, hopefully it will start to go away over the years.

I am around 20% mole covered so I would have to win the lottery to have all mine removed. I even have one on my wee wong.

Heh, shaving over a mole on the face isn't bad at all, just pay attention to what your doing! I have several, one under my nose and one on my forehead that are visible. I've always wondered about getting them removed, but I don't think I will. Maybe the nasty one on my back though.
