30 minutes ago I had decided to go in and clean up the the inside of my pc. The PSU wires were everywhere. I took some tie twisties and did the best that I could to make it look neat again. I thought I had reconnected all the fans. I turned on the PC and noticed that it was pretty quiet. I thought to myself, man I mustve did a very good job in there. 5 minutes after the PC booted my PC had shut down. I looked inside my case and saw that my Venus 12's FAN wasnt running! I immediately took off the side panel and touched the heatsink. THAT MOFO WAS SCORCHING HOT! I was freaking out. I left the PC off for 10 minutes and turned on the air conditioning unit. I then went back in and made sure that I had connected everything. Turned on my Pc and now its running at a cool 39C. WOW JUST WOW.

pulling the plug out in over heating situations, is many times why you fry your system. The correct thing to do is to immediatly plug the fans, and turn the system back on, so the fans will start cooling the MF down. Then you can also turn on the AC if it will make you feel better.
It's common that people fry a projector (in work), when after making a two hours presentations, they pull the plug out, instead of shutting it down, and letting it cool for about 10 mins. Once you pull the plug = you know the projector is gone...

I didnt pull the power plug from the psu. I just shut it down manually by hold down the power button in front of the case.
