I just had a fight with a gas pump

The fscking thing would only give me 4 gallons at a time! Insert card, push button, pump 4 gallons, boom, done. Wouldn't even pump more using the top-off method. Insert card again, push button, pump 4 more gallons. Same deal. Drive next door. Insert card at competitor's station, push button, flip lever, finish filling up the damned tank.

Yeah that happens sometimes. Take the pump out of the car and spray yourself in the face with the gas. That usually fixes it.

hmmm, i wonder if that is as bad as the one time I set the pump handle into the tank, flipped the lever and turned around to do something, heard a clunk, turned around to see the damn thing come flying out of the tank spraying gas on the side of the vehicle before the lever released and stopped the flow of gas. that was a shitty morning

I always knew there was a reason I held onto the handle all the time.

normally what fixes that is to hold the nossle upright, take a match or lighter and light the tip. this will dissolve all the grease and grime that gets jammed up in the nossle floats. after that the gas will flow again.
