I just had a small chip on the front of my tooth fixed, it feels kind of odd, like something is stuck on my tooth. I'm afraid that it will just snap off if I bite down on anything hard...
 
i felt the same way when i had just gotten my crown on when i got a root canal... it felt out of place and i was affraid to eat anything with it, so i'd chew using the other side of my mouth, but after a few days i got used to it and everything was okay 😀
 
did the dentist tell you not to bite on it? if he didn't say anything call the office and ask if you can.

just bite off to the side for now and don't use it.
 
I had that when I got my braces off..I was worried my teeth might not be hardened in place enough yet to bite down hard.. 😀
 
unfortunately, that might be the way you will always eat from now on. i got my front tooth chipped badly on a car accident 12 years ago, and after they got it fixed i had to always bite using the side teeth (at least the canines), or else it would broke.

no apples or corn on the cobs for me ever since 🙁 (at least not the way i used to eat them).
