I just got really mad and...

threw a plate and sandwich against my bedroom wall. My roommate was eating it on my bed while giving me crap (her on going stuff) and started lashing out at me. I told her that we should just stop talking and she should leave my room, but then she refused. Then I picked up her sandwich and tried to give it to her so she would take it and leave, but she wouldn't, so I threw it. Then she started saying "Is that all you've got?" So I threw the plate too. And now I have shards of glass next to my door, tomatoes and lettuce next to my desk, and bread at random places in my room. I should have done this in her room.

Yeah we do. She's an alcoholic and depressed, and I deal with it even though I'm pretty sure I'm not qualified to, neither trained nor mentally.

Why can't they make dishes that don't shatter into millions of pieces. I don't think I'm ever going to get this all cleaned up (see the duality of that statement?)

vacuum cleaner.

when I was a freshman in university, I had a day where everything was working out. I snapped after finding out I was dropped from a class cause it was too full.

I punched out a light bulb that was on. Big mess but I vacuumed it all up. thankfully I wasn't cut nor electrocuted.

Get a new room mate or maybe you should live along. Have you considered getting some sort of anger management therapy?

WTF gets that mad over someone not leaving? I could understand if she was hitting you, but she was just irritating you. Get some anger management classes like Dr Smooth said.

Uh, I believe i was more irate over the conversation we were having, the one we have millions of times whenever she's drunk (just the topic varies). Which is why I asked her to leave initially, because it was worn out and she was just doing drunk talk. Which I admit, was stupid of me to give into her goading.

Yeah...throwing plates and having shards of glass on the floor really solved that issue, didn't it?

lol. sounds like a selfish approach. =)

at any rate though, it does sound like the answer is to possibly split up. you two dont sound very happy together...or is it just when she has been drinking?

hope you can figure things out with her and get that sandwich cleaned up! ;)

Buy a case of cheap frisbees and make her eat off of them!

Get a decent vacuum cleaner for other issues.

-DAK-

p.s. BTW, people often respond to a good soaking. A pressurised fire bottle with cold water does wonders. If you have your computer in the same room you may need to make adjustments!

Control your anger. I once smashed a soda can in my dorm room while arguing with my girlfriend. Cops came in 2 minutes and put me in handcuffs.
