I just got my Athlon XP 2700+ from Newegg but it's dated 0309...

That seems kind of old to me. I was expecting a chip dated in the 2nd of 03 or maybe even early 04. Is that weird? Should I be concerned?

It just seems odd that it can sit around that long without being sold. For example, I just bought a new Epox motherboard and it has a Via VT600 chipset that is dated 0329 (the 29th week of 2003) or something. I would expect CPU chips to have a higher turnover than motherboards.
