I just got in the mail a USB 2.0 card I ordered months ago

I don't even remember when I ordered it. Must have been last November or December. Trying to find the thread in hot deals but no luck. Crazy! Says it shipped on March 5th so I guess it's been sitting in my mailbox for a few days. Funny thing is I didn't even think about it until I was going to check the mail just now. $9.99!

I have USB 1 in my machine now, do i need anything special to put a 2.0 card in it? Like any other upgrades?

Right after I posted that, the FedEx man came with my RAM. But how the hell do I enable dual channel on my Asus A7n8x??

Btw I have 10 USB ports now! The card was actually for my parents' computer. They only have 2 ports.

Plug the memory in the slots. They are usually a space away from each other, not right next to each other. Right next to each other would make sense, but thats not the way they do it.

dual channel: put the ram in slots 1 and 3.
thats how it is on my epox NF2 board IIRC, im not at home though.
there are other combinations that work also.

I remember ordering it. I just don't remember when I ordered it. I do know I was at my parents' in Houston at the time, so the latest it could have been was during winter break.

I can't use dual channel. The third DDR slot does not work. PC doesn't boot, hard drives don't spin up with a stick in that one.

what brand of ram is it?

The new RAM is Kingston. The old is Samsung. It doesn't work with a single stick in the 3rd either. I remember that from when I first used this mobo.
Well, now my old Samsung RAM isn't working. Shows up at POST, and Windows will try to boot, but the PC restarts after the menu where you select safe mode etc.

This is strange. I put the Samsung in the 3rd slot and now it works. Dual channel works too. Just a few minutes ago I tried the same config!
