I just got hold of a Power Computing PowerCenter 132. It's cranking out OGR and teaching me a little about the mac os. Any way the first thing in my mind after pluging it in is how do you overclock it.

After reading some outdated info online it seems you have to remove the crystle and replace it. Right now it has a 44mhz crystle and a mulitplyer of 3. I don't see how to set the mulitplyer.

What where can I find a crystle that'll work with this sucker? Or if anyone has an info on changing the multiplyer to something like 3.5 or 4...

You can't change anything through a bios or dip switches, on those old machines at least. If you want to overclock you need to replace the oscillator crystal with a higher frequency (which ups your bus speed).

For more info look at xlr8yourmac

They don't really tell you much. There are no pics, or specs on what type of oscillator crystal to get. Can I get one at radio shack or what? How manny connectors does it have...ect..ect..How high can the mac bus run?
