I just got destroyed by W32.SPYBOT.WORM .........

I dont know what happened, but that thing took over my system. I just did a windows repair, and it seems to be OK now. But is my system going to be stable after something like that, followed by a repair? Should I really just do a complete re-install? Please give me a little advice guys.
