I just got ahold of an AMD Fester Reference board...

I was wondering if anyone had any information on how the dang thing is suposed to be set up...
i got it up and running with win98 but if i try win2k it just BSODs as windows is starting...
the board is revision B3, and its running a 700mhz Slot-A t-bird.


Any info is apreciated!

It probably won't work with a T-bird. If you can get a regular Athlon, it should work.

Well i just got finished running several hours worth of looped 3d mark 2000 demo, it seems to be very stable under windows 98....
I dont think the T-bird is the problem
hmmm, maybe a fresh install of win2k will fix the problem

I would also guess that it's the thunderbird - some earlier AMD 750 chipsets don't work with them (and the Fester would be the earliest...)

When I was in highschool, the waterboy for our football team was nic-named fester. He had this insatiable habit of licking his lips.. the combination of this, his poor grooming habits, and the sub-zero illinois winters always made for an interesting scenario. By late febuary, his lips resembled 2 slabs of raw liver. With the addition of pussing boils of course.
