I just got back from having 2 interviews at best buy and i got the job as a computr tech! i am sooo happy!!!!

I get a kick out of reading the computer service department horror stories on that site; maybe you can give us another take on it.

Reading from bestbuysux.org i can say that Bestbuy might not be a good place to work. A question is, how are you going to support your living with $7/hr?

Granted your tech, it won't be so bad.. but I barely lasted 6 months at that god forbidden place.

actually, it's 3!!! the first is an online questionairrel at www.bestbuyretailjobs.com, and then your supposed to have an in-person interview, then after consideration, a second in-person interview. I had both in-person interviews at the same time (cuz they liked what i knew about computers i guess?!!?

congrats man, but i hope you know ur shiet.

Few CUSA or BEST Buy guys know shiet about computers.

I've played dumb at those store MANY times before, for kicks. True stories at my local BB:

"Yo man, Intel is where its at. Who's heard of AMD?"

"Visiontek scanners are the bomb. I own one, i know. We don't carry Epson scanners cuz they're not very good..."

"Yeah, maa'm. You need a 2 GHz PC for surfing the net and typing letters. I wouldn't reccomend anything less."

"Compaq makes good computers..."


the list goes on.

1. Q. What is the difference between a Motherboard and a Fatherboard?
A. After the fatherboard does its processing it just falls asleep, while it leaves the motherboard to take care of the rest of the job.

Thats right, you are BestBuy material. :p

I notice a lot of people who post on that bestbuysux site are really stupid.
example: That lady who brought in her 7 month writtings and had them fix it w/o backup. .. uhhh stupid.!!!
She should have backup it long before then, even before the laptop was broken. Uhgg stupid people.
