i've got the video card working fine, but i can't get the s-video out to work, i don't have an s-video plug on my tv, so i've got it connected through the video composite adapter, and it shows the boot up, but as soon as my desktop shows up on my monitor, the tv just goes black. the user guide thing said that i need to go to display, settings, advanced, ati displays tab and then activate tv, but the ati displays tab doesn't exist... i know that all the cables are plugged in, because it does show the windows boot up when i turn on my comp, but it doesn't display anything past that... any ideas? thanks
i searched but i didn't see anything, sorry if repost or anything, but i'm really confused
edit: ok, so i had it working till today, i was playing morrowind, and all of a sudden my comp restarts. i'm pissed off, and then it boots back up and says it has "recovered from a fatal error" or something, then said that the most likely problem would be a driver problem... so then i notice that some of my icons are back on my first monitor, i had been double screening with my tv because my lack of money won't allow for a second monitor and it was just cool, so then i realize that my tv is no longer working, so i go into the display, setting, advanced, and none of the ati tabs are there... so i download and reinstall the drivers and the control center, but upon boot, the control center wont open, so i redownload, and reinstall again the drivers and control center, same thing, so i uninstall it all first, reboot and then it has the new hardware found, and i install the drivers from the cd, but still no control center, so i reinstall just that from the separate installers on the dial up list on ati.com, and same thing again... now... i think its all working fine, except the control center... but i would like to have the tv back, and its not cooperating... anyone know whats going on?
