EDIT: Nevermind

It seems as if it was a price mistake. According to the thread, it's a huge YMMV since a lot of store managers are now notified for the price. SOME people were able to get away with it though.

Thanks for the heads up anyway.

if you bought a monitor with it, it cost 52.99. I will return the monitors tomorrow. the guy that sold them to me said I was his hero as he did not know about the deal. he bought some for his family. he also said it was like grand larceny. if you are all skeptical I will post all 3 receipts

so you walk in, get that emachiens then u get a monitor then walked to the register with it and it was 52 bucks or you had to show some paper or what.

the 52.99 deal is revealed near the end of the thread, I found out about it 45 minutes before closing

heres the url where it is revealed http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=258364&page=10

decolors9 is the poster and he says

Just got back from BB, talked to the guy a bit, here is the deal.

The computer is $214 BY ITSELF. If you buy it with a monitor, it's $52.99. It's an advertised special - they had printed cards for it in the store, and said it was in the ad. It's not just Florida, they said it was nationwide.

Note on the recipt posted on this thread the buyer got an LCD display - so he got the package price of $52.99 for the CPU. It's 114 with the CRT, 224 with the LCD, 214 for the CPU BY ITSELF.

I bought the CRT. My local store had only about 30 left

Yeah, congrats on the deal bro. Sounds like you really hit the jackpot!

I live in SoCal and these guys down here are on point, due to the HUGE number of Fatwallet/SlickDeal/Bargainshare/AT people constantly banging on their doors. I never got a deal to fly whenever it's YMMV down here, so it really sucks. A lot of people complain that there's no Fry's electronics near them and what not, but then again they're usually the ones that get these insane deals to pass.
