I just gave the notice of my resignation...

So, Been debating this for a while now.
I had an offer to join graduate school with full scholarship and abt 25k stipend. I deferred it for a semester (till Jan '06). I joined work after graduation in may, and just talked with my manager telling him that I will be resigning. No hard feelings either way. But I'm quitting a good job for grad school. Who knows what would happen later. I might be just one of those constantly looking for a job after 2 yrs...
But hopefully get a preference here if I ever decide to ocme back.

Btw, has anyone written a letter of resignation that they can share with me? I need to formally write one. no idea what to write besides the 2 lines saying i am resigning.

my resignation letters usually go something like this:

I hereby tender my resignation. This letter serves as notice of two weeks that my final day will be [date]

other people probably add more emotional content like "it is with great regret that i hereby tender my resignation" and stuff like that.
