In the beginning of the first film, it starts with Queen Mary I of England. She has a midget in servitude. (Lady in Waiting?)
I thought I saw the same midget in the 2nd film, as one Queen Elizabeth's Ladies in waiting.
Was it for amusement? It didn't appear she was there for comic relief. Mary the 1st was being comforted by the midget while ailing from cancer pains.
Or was it that she was a good servant, whether or not she was a little person?

As novelties. Royalty equates power, and powerful people have things/people that regular people don't have.

I haven't seen either movie though.
