I just finished reading Independence Day...

God it's awesome. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the movie. So much stuff was cut out of the movie, its SCARY. Cool thing I liked about the book was that it gave the aliens some sort of purpose, rather than how the movie made them out to be mindless killing machines. If I was a starving, carnivorous race of predators that have no home, I'd invade Earth too. *Sigh* They are always made out to be evil.

I also just heard of a prequel to the book called Silent Zone. WTF? I can't find it at barnes & noble so I don't know where to get it. Anyone get books cheap online?

The movie originally had that ending, but they opted for the theater one because it was stupid or something. It's on the DVD. I didn't like that part either. But the part about the Roswell UFO....sweet...

They shot it that way (cropduster) then changed it, most likely because everyone agreed with you
