I bought some low sodium bacon to try it out. Pretty good, the salt reduction was noticeable.
But I'm sure I'm doing it wrong if I'm complaining about bacon being a bit salty tasting.
all they do to make it less salt is to soak the pork bellies in water for a few hours after the cure.
you can do the same thing at home. just rinse the bacon in water and since its sliced and not whole you probably could make it almost salt free.
