Quitting caffeine is never about willpower but the fact I would have to take a week "vacation" to lay around and/or vomit everywhere and its easier to just drink my coffee =p

If its a real problem for you and you can't stop, the you won't quit until it causes you enough pain to make you stop. Addictions can be broken by not having ANY for 90 days.

As the title states I'm somewhat addicted to Red Bulls. Four out seven days of the week I'll chug one after breakfast on my way to work. If I don't do this my day is pretty miserable. I know this is partially due to a dependency.

I want to kick the habit but find some kind of other way to get a nice energy boost in the morning without drinking a sugary carbonated energy drink. Keep in mind I am not and most likely will never be a coffee drinker. Any suggestions?

What's with the sentence I bolded?

I've never had a red bull in my life, nor do I plan to.

I like my morning coffee, and prefer to drink that over RB in any scenario you can contrive.

The trick to maintaining caffeine's effect on the body is to cycle on and off in order to maintain its efficiency. I do this with caffeine, glutamine and creatine. I'll use it for 2 weeks then lower the dosage over a period of a week and then cut it off completely the next.

A high dosage of vitamin B is also very good for keeping you awake. I notice that I can run a lot longer if I take my multivitamins before starting a workout rather than after a workout.
