I just downloaded IE 6.0 and have found two minor annoyances...

First of all the good stuff: it doesn't lock up all the time like IE5.5 did, so I'm happy and will be keeping it 🙂 . Anyway, two things bug me about it, first is in Windows Explorer (Win98), after I intalled 6.0 it changed (increased) the "space" in between the folders in the tree in the left column. It's not a big deal, but before I didn't have to scroll down to see all the folders, now I do. I know it's just something in the registry but have no idea what to look for. The spacing of the file and folder icons on the right is unchanged and the way I want it, but I can't stand that extra spacing on the tree on the left. Any help on this one?

The other annoyance is I hate that damn powdery blue icon 😕 . I know the old dark blue one has gotta be on my hd somewhere but I can't find it.

I told you they were "minor" 😉

Yep, I definitely have to agree with you on that one.

Haha! Post and ye shall receive. I just looked for that old IE icon and found it lurking under this file:

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Connection Wizard\icwconn1.exe

Enjoy. Of course, you do have to create a shortcut to use this icon.
