Tell her there is only one korean thing you'll eat. She'll figure it out and forgive you.

seriously I don't think you guys will last long because of this problem, unless one of you can get used to the other's diet.

been together 1 year next month.

Outside of Korean food, we share almost identical taste buds.

well, if she is ok eatig the same thing as you all the time, then you guys are ok. you're lucky to find such a girl

we have talked about this a lot.

I come from a jewish family and was raised on Matza Balls and Gefilte Fish. She HATES both.

90% of our meals are neither Jewish Style or Korean, so it is kind of a non-issue.

But sometimes my GF gets upset about me not eating the food her Mom makes for US. Thats the issue more than anything.

You have to come out of Kim Jong Il's gulag to like it.

I actually like some korean food (not kim chee tho). Some of my friends like it and some don't. With Korean food, you either like it or hate it.

Steve's, yes...I don't know the red place you're referring to, but University Cafe is still open right off of South U. That's the one I usually hit up.

who the hell makes bool gogi with Pepper Paste ?

Either her whole family is bootleg korean or north korean.

What kinda meat is it beef or pork ?
If it's made with pork it's called Daeji Galbi I think.

I'm Chinese and I don't like Korean food, except cooked meats. Karbe rocks. I hate Kim chi and the different variations you get for free at Korean restaurants.

Korean dish may be too rich in spices for some diet. I hope your girlfriend understands that not all people will be fond of Korean food, no matter who made it.

<---Korean

EDIT: You guys should try the traditional Korean food they used to serve the Korean kings during the "Choson" era. I forgot the formal name (is it jung-sik?), but there are a few really upscale Korean restaurants that serve this. Holy crap, it is awesome food! So clean tasting and easy on the taste buds (not as hot and spicy).

i like that red pepper paste
when i flew korean airlines a few years back i brought home a bunch of little tubes of it..i convinced a friend it was for chapped lips and he put it on his canchor sore.....it was classic
