I was watching tv tonight and a preview for the kid's movie big fat liar came on. The girl with Frankie Muniz(sp?) is about 12 years old. She is wearing make up and dressing like she is 18. WTH are we doing with our kids?

16 sounds young but if I remember correctly, by 13-14 the kids were pretty adultlike in maturity already(of course some never mature no matter how old they are).

Sure sure. You won't believe me. But I have talked to that girl on AIM. Way back. Amanda Bynes? And I didn't think her clothes in the previews were particularly "slutty". But I do agree that in general young girls are being thrown into the world of sexuality at much too early an age lately. Or maby it's just a trend in fashion?

 

There are many societies where sex is embraced at an early age.
If a girl is 16 their sex drive has kicked in, not a whole lot stopping that.
Only education can hope to make it safe.

I think sheltering youth from reality is a much harsher thing then them imitating it in their teenage years.

Hey get this. In movies, you *have* to wear makeup or else all the lights make you look like a ghost. Hell, if you look closely, you'll notice that Frankie Muniz is wearing makeup too...

My 8 and 9 year old cousins dance classical ballet and at every performance, they're covered in makeup. Would you call them slutty too?
