I just discovered Kraftwerk

I just discovered Kraftwerk for the first time today. With many of their songs I instantly recognized them as the original source for samples by all sorts of popular musicians. In fact I can't think of any other artist/group that has been sampled as much as Kraftwerk has. So weird that I had never heard of them before.

Daft Punk, tons of Electronica, Electro, and hip hop from the 80's all the way through present have sampled them. Also some indie bands' songs that I've heard recently sample them. These guys must be the most influential modern music group ever.

Kraftwerk is awesome.

This is the best music to write code to. The fact that the songs all have super nerdy themes like "Radioactivity", "Geiger Counter", "Computer Love", "The Robots", "Pocket Calculator", etc.

Welcoming myself to 40 years ago.

Yeah, Kraftwerk was highly influential. I think there was a small reference to them in The Big Lebowski, if I recall.

Kraftwerk is the most underappreciated music group of all time, they practically invented electronically created music, which most musicians use today.

Their music comes in many different forms. Some of them you could imagine could be played in a club like setting. Others are similar to like something you hear at an electronic symphony, where it's a long instrumental and you can listen to for hours.
