I just discovered baked beans explode in the microwave if you cook them too long :(

Two words: Paper Towel ;)

Oh, and according the miss jailbird herself, if you have dried on gunk in your microwave, put a coffee (tea) cup with water & lemon juice in the microwave, and nuke it for 1 minute. Supposedly will soften everything up quite nicely, and make it easier to get off (and, as a single man, easier is always better in my book!! LOL). :)

I always just put them in a small pan and cook them on the stove. Just set it to low and wait a few minutes.

You should ask your mom to do it for you.

i would but since she's on the otherside of the world atm visiting the rellies in Scotland that's a bit hard, never mind that i live with my gf on the other side of the continent to her when she is home, asshat :|

Wait... you did it before, and you just did it again. But you can definitely state that it won't happen a 3rd time? Why? Are you giving up the microwave or the beans?

usually i put a plate on top of my food in te microwave. its lazier than wrapping it in saran wrap. anything that blows the plate off deserves to escape.
