I just did a clean XP install using W98 upgrade disk

I know this has been a topic of XP discussion and it was not suppose to work. But, I formatted a drive and installed XP Home upgrade. When it asked for a previous version disk, I put in a Windows 98 upgrade CD(one of the early ones) and it went ahead with my installation. In fact, it said it would look for NT3.5, Nt4, Win95, 98, 2000, me. What is the secret you ask? Send me ten dollars and I will tell you.

Just kidding. (but it may be worth 10 dollars to someone) Here is what I did. I made a set of XP Floppy boot disks. I needed to do this because of the way I have my drives setup. Good luck to others.

(I will be off the forums until tonight)

Actually another easy way to do this set bios to boot from CD. Worked pretty well for me. I also used Win98 upgrade as previous operating system.
