My sister had a problem with her car. Turns out one of the spark plug leads had come off, and the engine was misfiring and running like crap.

Took it to the local garage - they correctly diagnosed, repaired and billed the fault. Total cost $50 diagnostic fee - 0.5 hours labor (5 minutes - 30 minutes minimum) - $50. Total - $100
