I don't know why people are so bad at quitting... seriously if a game is causing you that much trouble in real life why not just give it up. I played ffxi for about 2 years then got bored of it and quit, I didn't quit then go back quit then go back, I quit uninstalled and moved on with life. I tried WoW, didn't see what the big deal was, it was a bit easier than ffxi, and the graphics were a lot more cartoony, but other than that I didn't really like it (though I was pretty used to the ffxi interface so that probably had something do to with my dislike of WoW). Anyways good luck staying off the game this time, get a new game if you think it will be that big of a problem for you, Dungeons and Dragons Online comes out soon, you could give that a shot perhaps.

I'm a WoW addict..lvl 60 druid in tier 1 and 2 stuff, 300 engineer and tribal leather - make some nice $$ selling FR fire gear from Thorium bro rep, though we are still working on our first BWL boss - should go down this week....also a Stone Guard in PvP ranks, tons of fun in all 3 battlegrounds...lvl 56 Rogue, mostly blue stuff, miner/swordsmith...lvl 16 warlock, enchanter/alchemist - I send all my greens/blues to this guy for DE, tons of DE mats in bank now

Good luck quitting, I'm having too much fun to quit right now, and I pretty much only play at night after my kids and wife are asleep, so I'm really only missing TV time to play WoW...and sleep of course!

By the way, THERE IS NO MENTION OF DIABLO 3, it wasn't discussed at Blizzcon or anything like that, stop it already!

I played until level 51. Do I regret it? not really, at times it was a LOT of fun. It just got to the point where I was tired of running the current instance and trying to get a good group together, and it didnt help that my class sucked at the time (not sure if they've fixed pallys yet?)

it's fun leveling.. but I fear that once I hit 60 it'll be downhill from there...

sign up to s4/invisionfree.com/savage for instructions on how to connect to the server. i just spend the entire day removing bad spawns all over undercity, and correcting quest objs.

wow, i'm surprised that the mods allow this thing to be advertised on the forums.

About 5 friends and myself just started up playing WoW again. I've kept strong and not repeat previous states of addiction to an online game. At one time, as soon as i came home from work, I sat and played for 5-7 hours everynight not getting much sleep and doing nothing but surf forums and such while at work between working.

This time, I workout about 2 hours almost every night, do homework about 1 hour everynight (online degree program), and then I play only about 2 hours about 4-5 days a week. Much to my friend's frustration that wants an active healing class up to his level.

You left WoW, why the hell would Everquest even remotely tempt you?

Jesus christ you sound like a horrible addict, grow some nuts and forget about those poorly designed games

In all seriousness... quitting WoW hasn't done you a bit of good (reading from your blog.) replacing your WoW time with other various videogames is just as pointless.

If you want to get rid of a 'bad' habit you can't just stop the bad habit. You have to replace it. So think of something that you have wanted to pursue, perhaps learn to play a musical instrument, study more in your school work, create art.

why does everyone seem to assume that everyone else wants to learn a musical instrument? i know how to play guitar and it really hasn't enriched my life any.

oh and i quit wow yesterday for the 2nd time. the first time i managed to go 2 months. who knows how long i'll last this time.
