Yeh, i just did it.

How long will i last without it?

DAY 0 Jan 27

1. Gave all of my money and goods to my real life friends that play with me.
2. They try to talk me out of leaving, i stay strong.
3. I uninstall the game and end subscription.
4. I go to bed and watch TV.

Day 1 Jan 28

1. I go to see Underworld 2. I give it a 4/10. At least it was a distraction that avoided me of thinking about WoW.
2. I eat at Copelands and get a nice Eggplant pasta dish, mmm tasty.
3. I buy a $4.50 cup of coffee from The Seattle Drip, mmm more tasty.
4. I drink said coffee.
5. I go and buy a king cake from the grocery store.
6. I throw up.
7. I turn on HBO to get away from the PC. I watched Evil ALien Conquerers, featuring cast from SNL and The Drew Carrey show, it sucked.
8. I play civilization 4 for several hours and get bored.
9. I play Star Wars KOTOR trying to get a roleplaying fix, it fails.
10. I begin to hear voices coming from the Everquest box on the shelf saying... WoW is now slayed... return to me.
11. I tell myself i am crazy... must resist satan.
12. I try to get my mind off of WoW and decide to turn this thread into a BLOG hoping to get another distraction, that and im very bored while waiting for Battlefield 2 to install the latest patches, have not played it since my last WoW fit, has it improved any since launch?

I've quit WoW twice now. The first time I quit with the assumption I'd come back to it after a break. This time I feel like I quit for good. You really feel the pang of regret for about a week, but then it subsides and you have no particular interest in the game anymore.

I'm lucky - my first MMO experience (the UO beta) was so bad that I never went back to any others.

I had my finger over the cancel button early this morning. Only to find out today was my renew date. So I left it alone for now. But I do have a sticky on my monitor to remind me before the next renew date. Incase I change my mind.

i've gone cold turkey for about 6 months now... it keeps calling to me, telling me to run back into its arms. i start remembering all the good times we had together. i get as far as the subscription screen and all the bad memories come flooding back and i turn my back and say "no! no more! you have nothing left to offer me since I hit the level cap. its only going to be more grinding and grinding. you were good to me once, but alas, it is no more!"

I had quit just before they released any of the BG or DM and came back just after they changed AV so BG were a fun new toy.

I briefly flirted with Guild Wars, but then my Internet crashed. Now I have nothing.
