Almost all of my flashlight are 18650 nowadays, this is very common for higher end lights.

Yeah been looking a lot at flash lights, always nice to have them around the house, and for camping etc. Lithium ions are not only rechargeable but they don't self discharge as fast as Ni-MH. I have one 18650 flashlight that I bought and like it but it seems most of the ones I find have multi modes that toggle off the same button as the on/off, so does this one, and it's kinda annoying. I just want to turn it on and have light, none of this flashing business.

I love my surefire and fenix lights, and black diamond headlamp.

I think I'll pass on a copper tube flashlight. But more power to ya!

yeah the Fenix I have has a secondary button to change the light level vs utilizing the on/off button. It's the best as the light will always turn off then back on on the same level you had prior without a risk of it changing modes. It's this light below - got it in April 2015 so I'm sure there is a newer version out there now:
