I just burned a rice rocket...

literally. ^_^

So about a half hour ago on the drive home, a rice rocket [Mod Honda CRX] pulls in front of me to pass a car, then slows down. I speed up to pass him, and he won't let me pass... grr.

So I put the hammer down and take off, pass him, pull over one lane so it'll be easier for him to pull along side me if he can, and around 115 his engine goes *poof*. I see a little smoke in the rear view mirror, and he faded into the horizon....

I don't like to street race, but damn, that was just pathetic.

I thought rice rockets are sportbikes? In any case, it's always cool when rice of any variety gets burned, as long as it is a car - I ride a sportbike and there aren't many other bikes that can smoke us, heh.

Dude, I have a 1988 olds 88 Royale and I've taken that thing and smoked rice rockets like it's nothing. Brand new ones at that! And I'm stock. No mods whatsoever! :)

Darned shame I can take that thing and smoke one of those cars. It might take me a few feet more than him to get up to speed, but once I'm there, you can't touch me.

The spedometer only goes to 90mph, but I know I'm doing WAY more than that because that gauge is buried solid on the pin past 90 and doesn't even begin to move, let alone start to come down, for quite a while after I begin to decelerate and brake. :D

Shows you what good a 3800 is. Even one that's old as dirt. :)

Rice rocket usually consists of a fart can muffler and large amounts of stickers.

lol sad, i looked up stats on a civic crx R 1986. 108hp. come on, a vanilla 2002 civic lowest model has 117~:p ofcourse u beat it:p

i wonder how slow a vanilla crx was:p

I have a 99 323i. Nothing fancy at all, only mods are small stuff to make it run smoother. EMS, air flow, exhaust, things like that. No supercharger or anything yet. Bought it so I'd have a quality car that'd last me through college and grad school.

[edit: Haha, no not proud, I just thought it was funny. I know there are cars out there that'll rip me to shreds. A few of my friends used to race, and I know my fair share about cars, so I know when I'll get my ass handed to me on a silver platter. This was just absurd. He was asking for it.]

I've kicked some rice ass in two different cars! 1) Nissan Access Minivan, street raced it down a main street cause the guy was a reckless little shat, suffice to say I tought him a lesson! 2) Jaguar Vandem Plas, I left that little ricer in the dust! I love puttin ricer boi's in their place with good old muscle.

Wait til you get to run against a REAL rice rocket... :D ...hehe... but since most riceboys RARELY put their money on their engines and more so on their space wings and unpainted bodykits... i doubt you'll ever run across something that would do ricers proud. Oh and a 99 323i is some bling bling ca$h money... :p ...you better smoke him... your car costs 10 times a CRX... :)

Quite funny though when you see a stock altima v6 burning the isht out of an S2000... the dream of all ricers... :)
