I just gave my grandfather a 'new' computer. He's like 75 years old and only uses his computer to read weather sites and write email. AMD XP 3000, 2 gigs of ram, nvidia 5900 XT and ubuntu. All of that in a shuttle case I had laying around with parts I found in my closet. He's happy as a clam.
His old computer was a PII 450 with 256 megs of ram and windows 98
